Connect SendGrid

Create a SendGrid API key with Mail Send access to send transactional email and dynamic templates from automations.

SendGrid connections use an API key. Automations can send plain/HTML email or render a SendGrid dynamic template.

Create the API key

  1. In the SendGrid dashboard, go to Settings → API Keys.
  2. Click Create API Key, name it (e.g. "Tyrbo"), and choose Restricted Access with Mail Send: Full Access — that's the only permission the integration needs.
  3. Click Create & View and copy the key (shown once, starts with SG.).

Paste it into Tyrbo

Choose the Send Email or Send Dynamic Template action, click New connection, and paste the key into the API Key field. If your SendGrid account is pinned to the EU region, pick the API Key + Data Residency option instead and select EU.

Notes

  • The From address must be a verified sender in SendGrid (Settings → Sender Authentication) — unverified senders are rejected at send time.
  • For dynamic templates, grab the template id (d-…) from Email API → Dynamic Templates and map your variables in the step's template data.
